Originally known as the Southern Cross on Earth, over time it became known as The Crossing by those who couldn’t see a cross in the main five stars or disliked the religious connotation. It is almost as highly populated as Prime Sector and has some of the most unique solar systems including one with twin planets orbiting in tandem around its sun, Midas three. They are not inhabited because of the severe crustal strains caused by gravity imbalance. Geostatis physicists expect the planets to break apart sometime in the next one hundred thousand years.
